Calpito Jr. (died 31 July 2021 at the age of 62) was a competitive pool and open water swimmer and Ironman triathlete from the Philippines who lived in San Antonio, Texas and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Swimming Highlights[edit]
- In 1989, he was the 54th person in history to complete a crossing of the Maui Channel (or the Auau Channel) between Lānaʻi and Maui.
- He competed in the annual Waikiki Roughwater Swim and the North Shore Swim Series.
- He completed the 1991 Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Kona, Hawaii in 11 hours 6 minutes 28 seconds.
