Aleksandrs Jakovlevs is an extreme swimmer from Latvia who serves as the vice president of the International Winter Swimming Association.

- He participated in the 2014 Winter Swimming Championships in Finland where he competed in the 450m endurance swim.
- He holds the 25m freestyle record of the Memphremagog Winter Swimming Society set at the 2015 Memphremagog Winter Swim Festival in Lake Memphremagog, Vermont.
- He finished 10th overall in the 200m freestyle at the 2019 St. Petersburg Big Neva Winter Swimming Cup in St. Petersburg, Russia.
- He helps organize the International Winter Swimming Association World Cup series.
- His son is Aleksandrs Jakovlevs Jr. won the 15-19 year category on the 2018-2019 International Winter Swimming Association World Cup series that included the 10th Jelgavas Roņi Cup, the Bled Winter Swimming World Cup, the Skellefteå Dark & Cold, and the Petrozavodsk Russian Open Championships.
