El Hombre de las Aguas in Spanish]] Guinness World Record with a 30-hour Longest Continuous Swim in a Counter Current Pool as a charity swim for the Ronald McDonald House in Barcelona, Spain]] Alberto Lorente Trenado is a Spanish open water swimmer whose nickname is El Hombre de las Aguas is from Viladecans, a town southwest of Barcelona.

Open Water Swimming Highlights[edit]

  • On 12 June 2022, he pioneered an unprecedented 9-day, 9-stage 270 km circumnavigation swim around the island of Mallorca, Spain.
  • In 2021, he aborted an attempt to swim between Mallorca and Barcelona, Spain.
  • On 10-11 October 2020, completed a 50.8 km swim in 19 hours 58 minutes 57 seconds around the perimeter of the Mar Menor lagoon in a wetsuit to raise funds to build a sports pavilion in San Pedro del Pinatar for the Aidemar Association in October 2020.
  • On 28 June 2020, he swam 30 hours from 11.00 am to 5:00 pm in July 2020, the Longest Continuous Swim in a Counter Current Pool, an estimated 89 km.
