Alan Macleay is a British open water swimmer who is a member of the Half Century Club.
English Channel Swimming Career[edit]
- he is one of the oldest successful swimmers of the English Channel for his crossing from England to France at the age of 57 in 22 hours 14 minutes in 2006.
- he is a member of One Foot in the Wave, a 6-person English Channel relay that also included Michael Jennings, Margot Anderson, Pamella Bessell, and Kevin Murphy. One Foot in the Wave set a record for the oldest English Channel relay in 2012 with an average age of 67 years and 42 days.
