Alain Charmey is a Swiss competitive pool and marathon swimmer who swam the length of Lake Geneva at the age of 34 in August 1986 in 22 hours 43 minutes and 30 seconds. He was the first person to successfully swim the length of Lake Geneva. He competed in the 400m freestyle at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games.
