open water swimmer from Japan]]Akiko Nakazawa is a 72-year-old Japanese pool and open water swimmer from Tokyo. She competes in masters swimming and open water swimming competitions including the World Masters Swimming Championships 3 km and on 3 relays (2 were two-way) across the English Channel. She also was a swimming instructor and completed a solo breaststroke crossing between Shimoda, a coastal city on the Izu Peninsula, and Oshima island.
