AZ Open Water Swim

The AZ Open Water Swim consists of 4 different events: Crosswim Challenge, Canyon Lake Swim, Lake Pleasant Swim, and Tempe Town Lake Swim in Arizona. It is one of America's Top 100 Open Water Swims.

Crosswim Challenge[edit]

The Crosswim Challenge is presented by Jonny Tunstall of Crosswim that incorporates functional fitness, running, unique challenges, pool swimming, and dryland exercises in a physically demanding workout.

Canyon Lake​ Swim[edit]

The Canyon Lake Swim is held on 15 September 2013 at the Boulder Recreation Site in Canyon Lake. It consists of a rectangular loop course 1 km, 2 km, and 4 km open water swimming races in 3 categories (Youth ages 11 - 18, Open for anyone, and Masters over the age of 45). Wetsuits are allowed at this event if water is less than 84ºF.

Lake Pleasant​ Swim[edit]

The Lake Pleasant Swim is held on 19 October 2013 at Spring Canyon, part of the Pleasant Harbor Recreational Vehicle Park. It consists of an out-and-back 750m, 1.5 km, and 3 km open water swimming races in 3 categories (Youth ages 11 - 18, Open for anyone, and Masters over the age of 45). Wetsuits are allowed at this event if water is less than 84ºF.

Tempe Town Lake​ Swim[edit]

The Tempe Town Lake Swim is held on 10 November 2013 on the North Shore Boat Ramp (West of the marina) at the Tempe Town Lake in Tempe, Arizona. It consists of a rectangular loop course of 1.5 km, 3 km, and 4.5 km open water swimming races in in 3 categories (Youth ages 11 - 18, Open for anyone, and Masters over the age of 45). Wetsuits are allowed at this event if water is less than 84ºF.
